About Wycliffe

Truth, Freedom and Justice

Wycliffe University educates and nurtures spiritual leaders on three pillars of Christian faith: Truth, Freedom and Justice. Since 2012 we have trained pastors, scholars and educators in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and South Sudan.

Accredited by the Bureau of Post Secondary Education of California in 2014, the university also holds non-profit status with the California Secretary of State and is tax-exempt with the Internal Revenue Service. Every degree is awarded from the main campus under the Long Distance Learning Law.

Everything starts with Wycliffe

We believe in the power of cooperation.

Campuses in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and South Sudan work together as one family, one faith and one mission — teaching, mentoring and sending leaders into the communities they serve.

Nsangi Campus — Uganda

The main campus sits in the green hills of Nsangi, a few kilometres from Kampala. Every degree, certificate and diploma is taught here by the full faculty, and every student finishes their course in the chapel that has stood on the hill since the first registration in 2012.

Life on Campus

The days are full: lectures in the morning, fieldwork and community visits in the afternoon, and the singing of the worship team before the sun goes down. Students share the work of the campus — the gardens, the kitchen, the library shelves — and the friendships made here last long after the gown is folded away.

Kenya, Ethiopia & South Sudan

Study centres in Kenya, Ethiopia and South Sudan carry the same programmes, the same faculty and the same degrees as Nsangi. Students begin in their own country, and many go on to complete the final year of their degree at the main campus in Uganda.
